Diploma Package Pick Up
All diploma packages will be available for pick up starting July 6-10. Diploma packages will contain O.S.S.D's, transcripts, report cards, Ontario Scholar certificates, SHSM certificates, awards, class photo composites etc.
Please Note: Diplomas cannot be mailed and must be picked up in person. If you cannot pick up your own package, please advise the main office who has permission to do so on your behalf.
Also please ensure that you have completed the 2025/2026 Post-TAB Contact info google sheet that was sent to you giving us an alternate email we can use to contact you when your hdsb email no longer works.
Ontario University Virtual Info session
The last Ontario Universities' Information Sessions virtual event is Monday, November 10, from 5 to 7 pm (ET).
The event is divided into 4 half-hour sessions where students can choose which university sessions they want to attend. Some universities will offer sessions in French.
Students must sign up to access the event website. For privacy reasons, do not sign up for the virtual Information Sessions on behalf of your students.

2025-2026 Grade 12 Post-Secondary Presentation
This Post Secondary Planning Information Session Presentation was given to parents on September 28th and to all the Grade 12 classes in the first week of October.
Ontario Scholar Criteria
Ontario Scholar designation is awarded to students who achieve an average of 80% or higher in their top 6 Grade 12 coded courses. These courses may be taken in any year of high school.

Students earning credits through institutions outside the Halton District School Board must complete the External Credit Declaration Form and submit it to their school’s Guidance Office when registering with the external provider.
Diploma Requirements
For Students Entering Grade 9 in September 2023 or Earlier
To earn an Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD), students must complete:
- 18 compulsory credits
- 12 optional credits
- 40 hours of community involvement
- The Ontario Secondary School Literacy Test (OSSLT) in Grade 10 or the Ontario Secondary School Literacy Course
- 2 eLearning credits (opt-out form available)
This program is designed to be completed in four years following Grade 8.
For Students Entering Grade 9 in September 2024 or Later
To earn an Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD), students must complete:
- 17 compulsory credits
- 13 optional credits
- 40 hours of community involvement
- The Ontario Secondary School Literacy Test (OSSLT) in Grade 10 or the Ontario Secondary School Literacy Course
- 2 eLearning credits (opt-out form available)
This program is also designed to be completed in four years following Grade 8.
