Principal’s Message

I am proud to serve as the Principal of Montclair Public School, alongside Vice-Principal, Nicole Jones. Together, we are committed to creating a safe, inclusive, and welcoming environment where every student feels valued, supported, and inspired to learn.

At Montclair Public School, we believe that a great education begins with a strong sense of belonging. Our school community is explicitly guided by our focus: Stronger Together. Our collective commitments were created through the woven voices of students, staff, and families who came together to define who we are and who we hope to become as a school. Grounded in the belief that we are strongest when connected, like threads in a shared rope, we intentionally nurture a culture of kindness and belonging every single day.

The infinity symbol serves as a beautiful reminder for us; it shows that we are always growing and changing, yet always linked in support of one another’s learning and well-being. These shared "threads" guide our authentic actions. They shape our daily planning and instruction, inspire student leadership and creativity, nurture meaningful connections, and ensure that everyone who walks through our doors feels safe, valued, and empowered to thrive.

Serving students from Kindergarten to Grade 8, we are proud to be a truly inclusive learning community that enriches the fabric of our school and strengthens our commitment to supporting all learners. Our dedicated educators work collaboratively, sharing their expertise and passion to design meaningful learning experiences that challenge, inspire, and support every child's unique identity, experiences, and ideas.

We recognize that student success is built on a strong foundation of well-being. Thanks to the generous support of the Halton Learning Foundation, along with the contributions of our local community and volunteers, we proudly offer a Breakfast Program five days a week to ensure that our students begin their day nourished, cared for, and ready to learn.

Beyond the classroom, Montclair is a vibrant and active school community. From competitive sports teams and a variety of student clubs to our prestigious Eco-School gold status, our students are encouraged to explore their interests, express their creativity, and develop vital leadership and advocacy skills. Whether they are supporting environmental initiatives, participating in school activities, or cheering on their peers, our students are learning what it means to be proud, empathetic, engaged, and responsible citizens.

At Montclair, we know that education is strongest when schools and families work together. We deeply value the partnerships and safe, trusting connections we share with our families, caregivers, and community members, and we appreciate the many collaborative ways you support our students and school. Together, we continue to build a positive, affirming, and inclusive environment where every child can grow academically, socially, and emotionally.

I feel incredibly fortunate to be part of such a caring and supportive community and look forward to the many successes we will continue to celebrate together.
