Principal’s Message

Welcome to our school community.

At the heart of everything we do is our shared motto:
Work Hard. Be Nice. Make a Difference.

These six simple words guide our daily work and reflect the values we strive to live by—both in and beyond the classroom.

Work Hard speaks to our commitment to high expectations, perseverance, and lifelong learning. We encourage students to challenge themselves academically, think critically, and take pride in their growth. This aligns closely with the Halton District School Board’s focus on student achievement, well-being, and preparing learners for an ever-changing world.

Be Nice reminds us that learning thrives in safe, inclusive, and respectful environments. We place a strong emphasis on kindness, empathy, and positive relationships, reflecting the Board’s ongoing commitment to equity, inclusion, and mental health and well-being. When students feel valued and supported, they are better able to learn, grow, and contribute positively to their community.

Make a Difference encourages students to see themselves as active contributors and leaders. Through leadership opportunities, restorative practices, and community involvement, students learn that their choices matter and that they can have a meaningful impact—locally and globally. This mirrors Board initiatives that promote student voice, civic responsibility, and responsible digital citizenship.

Our staff work collaboratively with families and community partners to ensure every student feels a strong sense of belonging and purpose. Together, we are building a school culture where effort is celebrated, kindness is expected, and students are empowered to make a difference—every day.
