PIC Conference
Mark your calendars for Saturday October 24, 2026 and the annual PIC Conference, this year with a theme of “Get Connected,” hosted at Elsie MacGill Secondary School, 1410 Bronte Street South, in Milton.
All local parents and guardians are invited to attend this free brunch and learn conference with practical workshops on Student Mental Health and Well Being, Special Education, Technology (Generative AI and Social Media), Literacy, Mathematics, School Pathways, Equity and Inclusion. Sessions offer meaningful learning and discussions that will help us support the success of all students.

- 9:00 a.m. Conference check-in, community displays, and child-minding check-in
- 9:30 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. Brunch and Learn
- 11:15 a.m. - 12:15 p.m. Session A Workshop
- 12:15 - 1:15 p.m. Light lunch and community displays
- 1:15 - 2:15 p.m. Session B Workshop
- 2:30 - 3:30 p.m. Session C Workshop
Child-minding will be provided at no-cost for children aged 3 - 12 years, and transportation within Halton will be available.

2025 PIC Conference: Embrace. Engage. Celebrate.
Held on November 15, 2025 at Elsie MacGill Secondary School, this year’s Parent Involvement Committee (PIC) Conference brought together HDSB families and community members under the theme Embrace. Engage. Celebrate: Building Welcoming Communities Together. The day featured meaningful workshops, community displays and a keynote address from Human Rights & Equity Advisor Pardeep Nagra, encouraging families and schools to nurture connection, inclusion and belonging.
