From the School Office
Reminder - No hot lunch the last week of school. Next week, June 15th, 16th and 17th are our last hot lunch days for Subway, Pizza and The Lunch Lady for this school year.
Yearbooks - We have just a few left for purchase on School Cash Online for families to order. The fee will disappear once we sell out.
Moving? - Please connect with office staff and also register your child at their next school so that records and information can be transferred or sent as applicable.
Early vacation - Please be sure to report your child’s absence on School Messenger Safe Arrival in advance of your travel. Absences exceeding 15 school days require a formal excusal from school. Report cards and purchased yearbooks for students who leave before the end of the school year can be picked up from the school office until July 7th, or please come by the school office during the last week of August or in September. We are unable to mail or email report cards. Alternately, report cards can also be downloaded from the Aspen Parent Portal.

June Parent Webinars - Youth Vaping
The Lung Health Foundation is offering a parent "micro session" (20-25 minutes) in English/French on June 17th.
Youth vaping is more common than many realize — and knowing how to respond matters. This focused 25-minute micro session from the Quash program, powered by The Lung Health Foundation, gives you the practical tools to start real, judgement-free conversations with the teens in your life.
In this condensed session, you'll get up to speed on today's youth vaping landscape and the health risks involved, then spend the majority of our time on what you're really here for: how to actually talk about it. You'll leave with:
A clear understanding of the key elements of a supportive conversation
Hands-on familiarity with the Brief Conversations Toolkit
The confidence to approach a teen without judgement - and without shutting them down
Whether you're a parent, educator, coach, or youth worker, this session meets you where you are and gets you ready to show up for the young people you care about. Presented by The Quash Program, powered by The Lung Health Foundation.

Jump Rope for Heart 2026! Get Ready Panthers!
Dear PCPS Families,
We are excited to share that we will be participating in the Heart and Stroke Foundation’s Jump Rope for Heart again this year! This is a wonderful opportunity for our students and families to show their Panther Spirit and raise money for an important cause. Our fundraising goal is: $2000!
This week, classes participated in watching and learning from our Kick-off Slideshow with videos promoting our Jump Day, encouraging students to be active and heart healthy, and information about how to register online and begin collecting donations.
Please help your child prepare for Jump Day:
-
Donate online towards our school’s goal: https://jumpropeforheart.crowdchange.ca/117231
-
Fundraise by sending out emails on the website to family and friends. Follow these steps to register your child.
-
Scan the QR code on your Jump Rope for Heart postcard to link directly to our PC fundraising page
-
Ask about the EASY healthy habits to support a healthy body, heart, and brain. Choose one to focus on between now and JUMP day!
To promote PARTICIPATION and FUNDRAISING, our incentive for reaching our $2000 goal is a school-wide extra recess time! This directly relates to promoting and encouraging a healthy and active lifestyle.
Thank you for your help with this amazing school event. We could all use some fun and school spirit!
We are looking forward to our June 18th JUMP day.
Sincerely,
Your JR4Heart Planning Team
Thank A Teacher
“As the school year winds down, the Halton Learning Foundation (HLF) invites families to take part in the ‘Thank a Teacher’ campaign, a meaningful initiative to recognize the incredible contributions of teachers and school staff across HDSB.
Beyond lessons and assignments, students are learning to be kind, persevere, and believe in themselves. Much of that learning is made possible by educators who show up in quiet but powerful ways.
It may be the teacher who noticed a student struggling and offered encouragement.
The staff member who made a child feel included.
The educator who stayed a little longer to help something click.
Or a retiring teacher whose years of care have shaped countless lives.
These moments may not always be visible, but they are deeply felt.
Through the Thank a Teacher campaign, you are invited to honour an educator, a staff member, or a retiree with a donation in their name. Your gratitude becomes meaningful support for students in need across our community.
When a gift is made, you can send a personalized card and message to the honoured educator, letting them know someone recognized their compassion and paid it forward.
