Breakfast Program

Halton Food for Thought

Fueling Student Success

The Halton District School Board is proud to partner with Halton Food for Thought (HFFT) to support student well-being through access to nutritious food at school.

HFFT is the sole provider of Student Nutrition Programs in schools across Halton Region. In collaboration with school staff and volunteers, these programs offer healthy meals and snacks to students at no cost. Available before or during the school day, Student Nutrition Programs are open to all students from Kindergarten through Grade 12 and help ensure every learner is ready to engage and succeed.

We believe that when students have access to nutritious food, they are better prepared to learn, grow and reach their full potential—academically, socially and emotionally.

Together, we #FuelOurFuture.

Breakfast Program at OTHS

At OTHS, we offer grab and go breakfast items to all of our students every morning. Items include yogurt and breakfast bars funded by Halton Food for Thought and fresh fruit donated by Fruit Suite. Thank you to our parent/guardian volunteers who provide support to this program!
