This entrance scholarship provides up to $5,000 in year 1, and up to $1,000 in years 2 to 4.

Earth Day Clean Up - Wednesday April 22, 2026 & Burlington Beach Clean-up for the Commonwealth Games

Our student Eco-club has organized a school-wide outdoor clean up as part of the Burlington Green community organization’s local initiative.  This activity helps our school work towards its goal of continuing to be a platinum level certified Eco School. This clean-up and another smaller clean-up event that will be happening at the Burlington Beach on May 1st, is also connected with our school’s participation in the Commonwealth’s Clean Ocean and Waterways Plastics Campaign and King’s Baton Relay event in Burlington on May 6th. Our school’s namesake, Mr. M.M. ‘Bobby’ Robinson, was the founder of the Commonwealth Games. More information about that city event will be shared in the near future. For more information about the two clean-up events, please reach out to howellh@hdsb.ca, grigort@hdsb.ca or paynes@hdsb.ca.

Mid-Term Report Cards - Monday April 27, 2026

Provincial mid-term report cards will be sent home via email Monday April 27, 2026.  As we approach the official mid-term of the semester, now is the perfect time to engage your child in their learning to see how they are progressing, and to understand what they are learning in each of their classes. As always, please do not hesitate to reach out directly to the classroom teachers with questions, or to discuss any concerns you may have. A full list of staff is available here.  Should you not receive the report card by the end of day on  Monday April 27, please call the main office.

King’s Baton Relay MMR Events - Tuesday May 5th, 2026 & Wednesday May 6th, 2026

As mentioned above, MMR has the amazing opportunity to participate in the King’s Baton Relay for the upcoming Commonwealth Games.  The King’s Baton Relay has the Commonwealth Games Baton travel around the world, uniting communities, athletes, and Commonwealth Nations in the spirit of the Games and each of the values and foundations that Mr. M. M. ‘Bobby’ Robinson instilled when he created the Commonwealth Games.  M.M. Robinson HS is honoured to be part of this tradition and will be bringing our RamFamily together in different activities and an assembly here at MMR on Tuesday May 5th, prior to the official event on Wednesday May 6th happening at Spencer Smith Park.  Stay tuned for further information.  If you have any questions, please contact hagleyn@hdsb.ca, velpelm@hdsb.ca, paynes@hdsb.cabeaudoinm@hdsb.ca, or crabtreel@hdsb.ca

Pool-Side of MMR  - A Reminder from the City of Burlington

A reminder that the pool-side of the building is controlled and managed by the City of Burlington.  The CoB welcomes our students, but would like to remind our students that they must respect the property, dispose of garbage in proper bins, and avoid loitering in bathrooms/changerooms when on the pool-side of the building.  There are bathrooms in the main office at MMR that students can access as well as facilities on each floor.

Sign up for Transportation Alerts

Stay on top of bus cancellations and delays by visiting haltonbus.ca to monitor your child’s bus route and sign up for transportation alerts.

School Code of Conduct - Water Guns, Gel Blasters and Replica Weapons

A reminder as the mild weather approaches, that students cannot bring water guns to school. Although on the surface this may appear like harmless fun, bringing these items to school could trigger safe school concerns, and a response from the police should a water gun be mistaken for a real weapon.  As such, this is a friendly reminder that students are not permitted to bring water guns or any other type of replica weapon onto school property. Students may face school consequences including, but not limited to, school suspension and/or police involvement should they bring/use a water gun, gel blaster or any other form of replica weapon at school. Let’s together continue to make MMR a great, safe place of learning and development for every student by always respecting others and respecting property. We encourage all parents to carefully review the Code of Conduct with their child linked in this communication, and posted on our school website.
