June 5, 2026

Dear MMR families,

Please see important information and reminders below.

OSSLT (Ontario Secondary School Literacy Test) Results

OSSLT results from the Spring session have been released to us by EQAO. Students will be provided a paper copy of their results in their English class on Thursday June 11. Students who wrote the test but don't have an English class can pick up a copy of their results from the main office. Prior to Thursday, our guidance counsellors will be following up with any student who was unsuccessful to create a plan to achieve this graduation requirement.

End of Year Pranks

As a reminder, the participation in end of year grad pranks will not be tolerated. Parents will be notified and will be expected to pick up their student from school if their student participates in any form of prank that disrupts the learning environment of the school. Depending on the severity, police may also be involved, and school consequences may be administered, including but not limited to school suspension and exclusion from year end school-wide activities.  Please discuss this with your child to ensure MMR remains a safe and inclusive learning environment for all students.

Community Involvement Hours

As a reminder, students need to complete a minimum of 40 Community Involvement Hours for graduation with their Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD).  There are numerous opportunities coming up in June for students to participate in.  Please stop by Student Services/Guidance with any questions.

The HDSB recently posted a story about the King’s Baton Relay, and the legacy of Melville Marks Robinson.  Please enjoy reading the article celebrating M.M.
