- Get ready to show off those bright smiles—Photo Day is coming up on Tuesday, October 20th! Please note: if you do not want your child’s picture taken please email their teacher.
- Students must be accompanied by a parent or guardian if they wish to stay after school to watch sporting events; they cannot remain unsupervised.
Dear Heritage Glen Families,
A huge thank you to everyone who has donated to our Terry Fox fundraiser so far! Thanks to your incredible generosity, we have already raised over $5,000—putting us officially halfway to our school goal of $10,000! with one week of fundraising to go.
Last year our school raised $7,400, and our all-time record of over $9,000 was set back in 2005. With your help, we hope to make this the year we set a brand-new Heritage Glen record!
Our halls are buzzing with excitement over our classroom and school-wide incentives! Classes are already competing in four divisions for the classroom party, and your Huskies have already unlocked three major school-wide rewards:

Event & Donation Details
Our Terry Fox Run has been rescheduled for Friday, October 23rd. Both in-person and online donations will be accepted through the end of the day on Friday, October 23rd.
If you wish to contribute, donations can be made online or in person. Please consider sharing our fundraising link with family and friends to help spread the word!
Option 1: Virtual Donations
Families are encouraged to donate online by visiting the official Terry Fox Foundation Website. To ensure your donation counts toward your child's classroom, please follow these steps:

On the terryfox.org homepage, click the red "Give Today" icon on the right side.

From the dropdown menu, choose "To a Student or a School".

Scroll down to the search bar and type in Heritage Glen.

Select the red "Donate" icon located under Heritage Glen School.

Select "Donate to a classroom"

Scroll down to find the classroom and select it.

Select your donation amount and fill out your donor details.
Tax receipts will be issued electronically and sent to the donor immediately.
Option 2: In-Person Donations
Students are welcome to bring cash, loonies, or toonies directly to their classroom teachers.

Heritage Glen – Fall Food Drive
Dear Heritage Glen School Community,
Student Parliament is excited to announce our first initiative of the school year — our Fall Food Drive! 🍎🥫
This fall, we will be collecting donations to support the Kerr Street Mission and help provide food and support to families in our local community.
📅 Donation Dates: October 12th – November-30th
We are asking families to please consider sending in non-perishable food items with your student. Donations can be sent to school with students and will be collected by Student Parliament from each class
Every donation, big or small, can make a difference. Thank you for helping us show our Husky spirit and for supporting those in need within our community!

Heritage Glen Public School
Dear Heritage Glen Grade 7 and 8 Community,
We are excited to announce our Fall Dance, a fun way to celebrate the season. The event will take place on Friday, October 30th, starting at 12:55 p.m. and continuing until the end of the school day.
Students can choose between attending the Fall Dance or joining the movie option, where they will vote on a movie to watch. Both events will have a concession stand with a selection of snacks and drinks available for purchase.
This event is open to all Grade 7 and 8 students and is a great opportunity to connect with friends and celebrate the fall season. Tickets are a $3.00 donation per student and can be purchased through School Cash Online. All proceeds will go towards Student Engagement at Heritage Glen.
If a student chooses not to attend the dance or movie, a study hall option will be available.
We can’t wait to see everyone there for this fun celebration!
