A.S.I.A Club

-The Asian Student Independence Alliance is a group of students who actively work to empower and amplify Asian voices within the school community to make it a more inclusive and diverse environment for everyone. Meetings are once a month after school in 244. This is a great way to earn volunteer hours throughout the year. Email Mr O'Neil (oneilk@hdsb.ca) if you're interested in joining!

Black Student Association / Club

Ms. Cantlon (temp - sem 1) 

-The Black Student Association is a group designated as a space for students of Black identity to cultivate friendship and community, both in and outside of the school facility in weekly meetings, as well as activities, events, and potentially trips. Weekly meetings take place once a week, every Friday during periods 3-5 in room 221 for each grade to have the opportunity of joining during their lunch/spare period. The club is working on potentially meeting a second day every week (i.e. Wednesdays).

Plans for this upcoming year are still under construction as students are organizing ideas of what they would like to do :)

-This ensemble performs a wide variety of musical genres ranging from popular music (rock, jazz, blues arrangements) to music for film/tv, and some traditional band repertoire.

-Instrumentation includes winds, brass, percussion/drums, and electric bass
