Principal’s Message
Welcome to Rolling Meadows Public School!
Dear Families,
Welcome to our digital home! Whether you are a long-time member of our school community or a family joining the "Meadows" for the first time, we are thrilled that you’re here.
Located in the heart of the Mountainside community, Rolling Meadows is a vibrant Kindergarten to Grade 8 school with a wide variety of opportunities for learning both inside and outside of the classroom. Our Vikings have many clubs, sports teams, intramurals, and arts activities to get involved in throughout the year. Our youngest learners find role models in our Intermediate students, and our Grade 8s develop leadership skills by mentoring their younger peers as Kindergarten helpers and through our Viking Activities which take place three times per year.
At the core of our school identity are our Viking Values. These values were collaboratively developed by our students, staff and families in 2024, and guide our interactions in the hallways, the gymnasium, and the classroom every day:
-
Kindness: We lead with our hearts, ensuring every student feels safe, seen, and included.
-
Community: We take great pride in our Rolling Meadows and Mountainside community. We believe community is built by bringing people together to create a space where everyone feels they truly belong.
-
Dedication: We show up for ourselves and each other, striving for growth in our academics, the arts, and athletics.
-
Respect: We value the diverse perspectives and backgrounds that make our school a rich place to learn, and "treat others how they want to be treated".
Watching a child walk through our doors as a curious Kindergartener and leave nine years later as a confident Grade 8 graduate is a profound privilege for our staff.
I encourage you to explore this site, check our calendar for upcoming events, and follow our weekly updates to see the incredible things our Vikings are achieving every day.
Warmly,
Kristine Lukawecky
Principal, Rolling Meadows Public School
